New, State-of-the-art Cleanslate UV Sanitizer Machine

The Cleanslate UV machine is a new, state-of-the-art sanitation machine recently implemented in Naval Health Clinic Hawaii clinics for use by patients and staff in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The machine is a hospital-grade UV light sanitizer that kills bacteria on surfaces such as cell phones, keys, wallets, and badges in 20 seconds.

Naval Health Clinic Hawaii Inaugural DAISY Award Kick-Off Begins Nomination Cycle for Extraordinary Nurse Recognition

The DAISY Award Program and Selection Committee consisting of Active Duty Navy and civilian nurses at Naval Health Clinic Hawaii (NHCH) visited Branch Health Clinics (BHC) Kaneohe Bay and Makalapa, and Shipyard Clinic to recognize the beginning of the inaugural DAISY award nomination cycle for NHCH. The cycle runs from Dec. 14, 2020 to April 2021. The kick-off consisted of revealing the foundation’s banner to be hung in each clinic and a brief to educate nursing staff on the award. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation's mission to recognize the extraordinary, compassionate nursing care nurses provide patients and families every day.

Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Pearl Harbor (NMRTC-PH) stood up an Expeditionary Testing Team (ETT) in April to conduct mass operational COVID-19 testing. Created in a moment’s notice, their mission is to help ensure operational readiness of the fleet during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NMRTC PH Change of Command 2020

On June 19, Capt. Kimberly Zuzelski relinquished Command of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Pearl Harbor (NMRTC PH) to Capt. Christopher Tepera during an alternatively formatted ceremony. NMRTC PH is one of the many commands changing hands this summer under unusual circumstances due to COVID-19.
