Lab Tests & Radiology
Naval Health Clinic Hawaii provides Radiology and Laboratory services at three locations on the island:
2 and 3-Hour Glucose Tolerance Testing
The labs at BHC Makalapa and BHC Kaneohe Bay administer 2 and 3-hour Glucose Tolerance Tests by appointment only during the following hours:
- BHC Makalapa: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- BHC Kaneohe Bay: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Please note, the lab can only schedule three patients per day at each location.
Laboratory
Laboratory (lab) services are located at three locations:
- BHC Makalapa
- BHC Kaneohe Bay
- BHC Wahiawa.
Patients will not be accepted after 4 p.m.
Lab services are available to Active Duty, their family, and retiree patients with requests ordered by DoD authorized providers such as your primary care manager.
COVID-19 Testing
If you are on orders and require a pre-travel test for departing the state of Hawaii and traveling to another country, please e-mail your orders and DOD ID number to the COVID-19 Testing Request office.
Radiology
Radiology services are available at BHC Makalapa, BHC Kaneohe Bay, and the Shipyard Clinic. Services include mammography, diagnostic breast imaging services, x-ray, ultrasound, and bone mineral densitometry studies.
Appointments are required for mammography, ultrasound, and bone mineral densitometry studies. Please call 808-473-1880 x9-2200 to make an appointment.
