About Us

Office of the Inspector General (IG)

Our mission is to provide a method to receive, inspect, investigate, and address all allegations of significant fraud, waste, or abuse at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Pearl Harbor (NMRTC-PH).
Through these efforts, the office of the IG supports NMRTC-PH's overarching mission to maintain a ready medical force that delivers highly reliable, patient-centered care to the Department of Defense warfighters and their families.

Matters Appropriate for IG Hotline Complaints:

  • Abuse of title or position
  • Bribes/Kickbacks/Acceptance of Gratuities
  • Conflicts of Interests
  • Ethics Violations
  • False Official Statements/Claims
  • Fraud
  • Gifts (improper receipt or giving)
  • Improper Referral for Mental Health Evaluations
  • Mismanagement/Organization Oversight (significant Cases)
  • Misuse of Official Time, Government Property, Position and Public Office
  • Political Activities
  • Procurement Issues
  • Purchase Card Abuse
  • Reprisal (Military Whistleblower Protection)
  • Safety/Public Health (Substantial/Specific)
  • Systemic Problems
  • Time and Attendance (Significant Violations)
  • Travel Card Abuse
  • Travel Fraud (Temporary Duty Travel [TDY] and Temporary Additional Duty [TAD])
  • Waste (Gross)

Matters the IG does not Handle:

  • Allegations of misconduct for a specific profession (e.g., Judge Advocate General, doctors)
  • Complaints of Equal Employment Opportunity/Equal Opportunity discrimination
  • Employment-related grievances & Human Resources complaints against management officials
  • Hazardous work conditions
  • Most criminal allegations (with the exception of whistleblower reprisal)
  • Non-support of family members
  • Personnel matters involving requests for individual relief
  • Paternity cases or child custody
  • Situations where there is another form of existing redress, such as Command Managed Equal Opportunity, civilian personnel issues and safe harbor
  • TRICARE complaints
