Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Pearl Harbor’s (NMRTC PH) dental clinic on wheels administers dental exams to Sailors pier-side three times a week in support of ensuring a medically ready force.

Mass casualty incident response drill

On August 11, 2022, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Pearl Harbor took part in a quick- reaction, scenario-driven drill to evaluate their response to a mass casualty incident, should one occur. The drill evaluated NMRTC-PH’s ability to alert staff and respond to the installation’s requests to support the Federal Fire Department.

RIMPAC Medical Symposium Focuses on Interoperability

On July 1, 2022, a panel of four medical flag officers from the United States and Australia met to discuss joint-medical readiness during the 2022 Rim of the Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC) Medical Symposium at Sharkey Theater on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The theme of the medical symposium was "interoperability." The panel members discussed how international partnerships and standardization can improve patient outcomes if and when medical assets are called to respond to a wartime situation or humanitarian crisis.
